What is Cold-Pressed Juice?
Cold Pressing is the process of extracting nutrient rich juice from fresh produce by using high pressure exerted through a Hydraulic Press or Commercial Juicer.
The term “Cold” press is employed when machines use Hydraulic Press technology and avoid adding heat during the extraction process.
The low-levels of oxidation during the juicing process does not compromise the integrity of the produce. The result is a juice that is fresh, nutrient dense, rich in color, and full of flavor.
How is Cold-Pressed Juice different from store-bought juice?
The traditional juice available at grocery stores is highly processed.
Many contain refined sugars, artificial flavorings, and hidden preservatives. Even the "healthy" smoothie products contain high levels of sugar with many added substances to retain flavor and color.
Most store-bought smoothie products contain stabilizers to prolong shelf life.
Our cold-pressed juice is literally the raw juice extracted from whole fruits and vegetables. There are no added sugars, no chemical additives, and no color or flavor enhancers.
Isn't the juice I make at home the same as Senzu Juicery juice?
Most home machines use a fast spinning blade (aka centrifugal juicer) to pulverize the juice out of produce. This lets the casual user juice much more quickly and conveniently, but this also exposes the produce to high levels of heat and oxidation. Before the juice ever enters your glass, its nutrients have already started to break down.
Senzu Juicery uses special cold-press machines that are able to extract much higher concentrations of nutrients when compared with both masticating and centrifugal juicers. Our machines squeeze with 30 psi to extract all the nourishing elements from produce, liberating an abundance of nutrients, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and chlorophyll.
The cold-pressed method of extraction produces a much more nutritious juice (and it tastes much better too!).
What is the shelf life of a juice?
Senzu Juicery juices are all raw. Each juice contains live enzymes and is highly perishable. Refrigerate your juice as soon as possible. We guarantee the shelf life of each juice for at least 2 weeks from when you receive them.
I'm still not sure about cold-pressed juice. What's in it for me?
Well, juice isn't a miracle cure-all, but if you stick to it, you can expect to start noticing positive changes, including:
Boosted immune system
Deeper and more restful sleep
Improved mental clarity
Improved metabolic function
Reduced cravings for unhealthy foods
